Get serenity and good health with feng shui water fountains

The Term Feng Shui is an Asian expression that involves the principles of combining characteristics of the stars and Earth to attain gi (pronounced: ch’i), which is a state of harmony and balance in Chinese culture.  Feng Shui can be included in your home or room through a tabletop fountain.  Such devices are thought to have a cleansing effect by removing negative energy that exists around us.  The continuous flow of water is supposed to filter and purify surrounding air.

Aside from adding to the decor of a space, these feng shui water fountains are said to bring harmony or gi by bringing energy balance to the surrounding area.  This is why such decor pieces are believed to have a positive effect for those who live or work in areas within the fountain.  They are also thought to harness positive energy from the air, by communicating with negative ions in the room and forcing them out. Many believe this keeps a home in balance.

Possessing great health is important in the lives of most people.  Good health leads to a more pleasant state of mind and helps you get along better with others.  Fountains are meant to assist you in maintaining good health and a positive mental state.  There are those who believe that running water does indeed reduce the number of negative ions present in a home or room.  This is also supposed to help you remain calm.  A sense of calm is useful when studying, reading or even when listening to music.  The more successful the fountain is at helping you stay calm during periods where anxiety may be high, the longer your life will be.

Stress and anxiety are known to lead to a host of health problems.  It makes perfect sense that anything you can do to relieve much of it is a good thing.  Having a fountain in your work area or room then becomes an important aspect of achieving good health and living a long, productive life.
If running water from a fountain helps achieve this, it is a relatively small cost which provides a great benefit.
